GUN SAFETY ALLIANCE
Who We Are
The Gun Safety Alliance is a group of business leaders and concerned citizens from across every industry—a "coalition of the willing"—working together to propel cultural change and prevent unnecessary gun deaths in the United States.
There is a middle ground where most Americans can agree. We've found that middle ground and are working to unite like-minded citizens. Behind the scenes, we are effecting real change to stem the tide of gun violence. This is not a partisan issue, it’s a human crisis. That is why we continue to work together and fight for:
Universal Background Checks & responsible gun safety legislation
Gun safety in the home to end Family Fire
Support candidates who vote for sensible gun policies
the second amendment
Gun Safety vs Gun Control
We support the second amendment. Many members of our group are gun owners, and some are members of the NRA. You can be pro-gun safety and pro-second amendment at the same time.
In fact, we'd ask, how can you not?
We are not fighting for “gun control” — we're fighting for common sense “gun safety.” There’s a big difference, and that difference is greatly important to our cause.
Most gun owners are responsible, and many own guns to protect themselves and their families. They have every right to do so if they follow the law. But we should all understand the risks and responsibilities that come with owning firearms.
